Bishop T.D. Jakes Responds to the Rumored Rapture

by Ayvaunn Penn, YourBlackWorld.com

When the renowned Bishop T.D. Jakes of The Potter’s House was asked what he thought about Evangelist Harold Camping’s rapture prediction, his response was,

“I’ll tell you on Sunday.” Bishop did just that at today’s 9:00 a.m. worship service, and I was amongst the congregation as people erupted in laughter and applause upon his utterance of this anecdote.

Men and women clad in their Sunday best gasped in awe as Jakes shared how he was notified that some people went so far as to quit their jobs and sell their homes behind the erroneous claims of Camping. He expressed his sympathies for those lead astray by these false teachings. He also commented on how incidences such as these give Christians a bad name and make it harder for nonbelievers to accept Christianity even when being presented with sound scripture. Jakes concluded his brief commentary by reminding the audience that the Bible says no man, nor Jesus himself, knows the day nor the hour that God the Father will call his people home to heaven.

Praise God Bishop Jakes. I can’t believe that people are so gullible to believe what a “MAN” said without checking the Bible first. Anyone who sold their homes, gave away their life savings to this man, are really ready to leave this world. That kind of anxiety isn’t normal and they could have donated whatever they were giving away to those who weren’t on the same page as them..:) That is the most assanine move there is. AND they should be just where they are to be that dumb.

It only the father who knows the day . Preachers and prophets know your boundaries the bible is the word of God it will never change and will never be made to change by a human being. How ever the Lord is coming even the time is not known .
