Mother Glues Child Hands to Wall, Beats Her Unconscious After Potty Training Accident
Your Black World reports
Elizabeth Escalona, a 22-year old mother in Dallas, has been detained for beating her two-year old daughter for using the bathroom on herself. The mother allegedly dragged the little girl by her feet and glued her hands to the wall until they bled, according to police.
Escalona’s daughter, Joselyn Cedillo, is in critical condition, according to the Associated Press. In addition to dragging, beating and gluing her daughter, her mother also beat the girl with a shoe and belt, punched her and hit her in the stomach with a jug of milk.
After the beating, Escalona called her own mother, apparently hysterical that there was something wrong with the child. That’s when her mother rushed the baby to the hospital. Doctors are saying that the child has broken bones and injuries to her head.
"We don’t know how it happened, but she was covered in bruises," Joselyn’s aunt said.
Escalona has been arrested for causing injury to a child and being held on $500,000 bond. All of her children were taken into custody.
"This is beyond abuse," Sgt. Brenda Nichols told The Associated Press. "This is torture."
