The White House Can’t Get It’s Story Straight on Bin Laden

John Cook — When you’re dealing with the assassination of the world’s most-wanted criminal, you might want to actually know what you’re talking about. In the space of 36 hours, the official story on what happened to Osama bin Laden has gone from "he went down guns blazing and taking hostages" to "basically we shot him."
The first report on how Osama died came from Barack Obama. In his statement announcing the death, he said, "a small team of Americans carried out the operation…. After a firefight, they killed Osama bin Laden and took custody of his body."
That was true! But within hours, anonymous senior administration officials briefing reporters in a Sunday night conference call changed that characterization—asked precisely how bin Laden was killed, an administration official answered: "As the President said this evening, bin Laden was killed in a firefight as our operators came onto the compound." In the same call, officials raised for the first time the charge that someone at the compound was using a woman as a human shield: "One woman was killed when she was used as a shield by a male combatant."

It’s been made quite clear by previous actions and comments, this President is damned if he does and damned if he doesn’t. Thankfully he’s a man of great courage and determination who doesn’t succumb to pressure.
It’s been said the election of President Obama shows how far this country has come come. But based on various incidents that have taken place since he took office, I think it shows how far we have to go. Hang in there Mr. President.
Barbara, well said. The point is this man killed thousands of Americans and thought he had gotten away with it. It really doesn’t matter whether or not he was armed or not, he has paid the piper. As cruel as that may sound, it was even worse that he killed thousands of innocent and unarmed Americans. That’s what should matter. Bin Laden is no way innocent and they worry about whether he was unarmed or whether the woman was used as a shield. Lord help us!
Look John, I don’t give a damn how he went down. I am just glad they took him out of here by any means necessary…He did not deserve any kind of dignity because he showed known for all those people he has killed.
I am proud of our President and the military for taking him out…Try something else next time that might be a bit more interesting to post okay. Have a nice day.
OM goodness! I’m shocked! You guys really believe this?

Hey– I’m all for supporting what is right, but this is so wrong that even Stevie Wonder can see it. Critical thinking is lost if we are connecting dots that don’t exist. Dig deeper.
Peace.
