My Personal “WTF Moment” – 4/30/11

You never know what you’ll see walking through a random antique store.  I’m speechless

    Am not sure why you are amazed at these dolls, especially since this is part of our heritage and something we should NOT be ashamed of. This was honest labor. Our forefathers were survivors. I do not like how we were treated but am very honored they did what they had to, endured what was put upon them and persevered through it all.

    These statues are considered “Americana” and are collectible and valuable, and yes, I have several similar dolls, one doll was handmade by an aunt at age 8 and had she still been alive, would be over 90 years old.

    What we SHOULD be ashamed of are those rappers who dis-respect women, say every kind of cuss word, those men who stand on the street corner slanging, women who are not raising their children to respect others and their property, men not raising and supporting their children, and those young men we allow to wear their underwear showing.
