President Obama with Rev. Al Sharpton earlier this month.

From The New York Daily News

WASHINGTONPresident Obama remains committed to comprehensive immigration reform despite the incendiary nature of the issue.

Participants at a White House meeting with Obama on Tuesday reported he’s determined to keep the issue alive – and asked for help forging a bipartisan consensus behind reforming an immigration policy he often calls "broken."

The Rev. Al Sharpton called the session "a very healthy beginning" and suggested proponents and opponents join together in "unlikely pairs" to "give a central message: Immigration reform is something America needs and something that America must do together."

"Immigration reform must be a priority," he said.

Rev Al you are doing a magnificant job for our community, our thanks are heart felt. Many saw the display of Professor Cornell West on MSNBC with you. We knew immediately that there would be Drama, because Mr. West long standing touchy feely outrage after his dear friend Tavis Smiley was correctly correcrted by the community has not settled with him to date and won’t in the future.

Tavis Smiley never supported our President, and that’s ok, his mistake was in telling the community that we had no other option but to support his Candidate, Hillary. He brought her on one of the last Black America events and his disrespect and Mr. West continuing Disrespect have just been awful. They haven’t stopped and they won’t in the future

CLearly Many of us home that Donna Brazile is not planning to speak with Mr. West and should not. We overcame actually there was nothing to overcome, we just kept working together as a community and let Mr. West & Mr. Smiley, go their way.

We can only make progress if we and we have finally began to work together fo rour children and their future. If these Gentle think that promoting Self will stand in the way of progress in our community then they have a lot to learn.

When a COllege Professor comes on TV one with the Responsibility of Teaching Our Children and present himself as Professor did on MSNBC, it’s bad for our children. He promoted the hopefully don’t do as I do do as I say do. Because if indeed this is not the case, it’s pretty sad.

Rev. Sharpton keep up the good work We always have those who hae not worked in our community not one day, have never stepped out front to head up an activity, haven’t volunteered, complain about how the young folk should take over but not one steps forward,

Rev. Al is always there no matter how hot the issue, he’s willing to help prepare those really interested in stepping up to lead the community, so a huge thank you to Rev. Al we love you and will never be able to thank you enough.
