Watkins/Sharpton rally in Ohio for Kelley Williams-Bolar and Educational Equality in America
On Thursday, February 17 at 6 pm, Dr. Boyce Watkins and Rev. Al Sharpton will rally in Akron Ohio on behalf of the case of Kelley Williams-Bolar, the single black mother who was jailed for sending her kids to the wrong school district. The information for the rally is below:

First of all I want to start off by saying. When I seen an address and phone number I nearly cried. Because I’ve been trying to get in touch with the Rev. Oh! My God! I’m so glad! So glad!
My name is Farina Thompson, I’m a 47 year old Black Woman, that’s dealing with the state of Oklahoma Department of Human Service, Foster care division.
Oklahoma DHS took my grandsons and put them in foster care, back in March 2 2006. I had to move from the West Coast (Reno Nevada)to fight for my babies.
I’ve submitted a nevada guardianship, submitted a haebus corpus, submitted adoption paperwork, submitted my diplomas from many educational institutions and to no avail the Oklahoma DHS DA has opposed everything and the Judge denied it all. My grandchildren are still in foster care.
The Judge Associate District Judge Richard W Kirby ,DA Jane Brown and DHS Supervisor Tara J Bone, has been denying me my grandchildren for nearly 5 years.
I’ve spent over $10,000.00 in attorneys. I’m searching for another attorney. I’ve no contact with my grandchildren.From day one there hasn’t been any regular visitation with my grandchildren.
The latest is that I’ve been banned from court.
Also, dating back to December 2009, the Associate District Judge he stopped me from receiving any form of documentation from the court.
The last court hearing which was scheduled on last week Wednesday 2-9-11, but due to the the malicious and judicial corruption, somehow they managed to move up the date so I’d miss the court hearting. So now I don’t have a court date. I can’t let these ungodly human beings get rid of my only grandsons. My grandson are my heart and these boys knows that I am here in Oklahoma. But! I am not allowed to see them.
I’m not a felon, nor have I ever been to prison. I’m honorably discharge from the United States Army. I’m a regestered voter. I have a 3 bedroom 2 bath e car garage and my home is over 2,000 square feet. I have more than enough room for my grandbabies. I’m doing everythiong I can to keep my grandsons from adoption.
I’m the only one fighting for my grandsons.
The children’s mother she was forced, to relinquish her parental rights,which was on 9/15/09, because the courts denied her request to return home where she could get help to raise my granddbabies. The mother, she had just been released from prison. She needed help and the judge denied her request to beable to allow me to help her, therefore putting closure to this DHS case.
Oklahoma has violated my civil rights and my human rights.
There is Statutes and Oklahoma Administrative Codes that they have violated. My grandchildren should have been home and in my arms many moons ago.
I’ve been looking and searching for help for along time. I just don’t want to lose my black grandchildren. My grandbabies are my life and world. I’m determined not to let these people of Oklahoma keep my grandsons.
I can’t get anyone to out to my home to do a home study, so that I can pass to get my grandbabies out of the foster care system.
My family has suffered tremendously behind this tragedy. Nearly 5 years! This is wrong.
I’ve been threatened and served with a contempt of court. With a 6 months jail time and a $5,000.00 fine. That has been dropped. However I’ve been threatened with my freedom of speech. The courts, people in their position, don’t want me to expose what’s going on in the courtroom and what they are doing to me and my grandchildren. The Family Court and DA has dragged this case out,for going on 5 years come 3-2-2011. Please I need help. I’m trying to save my family. My grandsons don’t need to be adopted out.
My grandsons ages are 6 yrs – 14 years.

My life and my grandchildren’s life has changed forever behind this. Our lives will never be the same because of this tragedy to our family. 3.2.06 the day the nightmare began.
