News: EMTs Suspended for Allowing Pregnant Woman to Die

Two New York City EMT’s accused of walking away from a pregnant woman who collapsed and later died have been suspended, city officials said today.
The two fire department employees, Jason Green, 32, of Long Island City and Melissa Jackson, 32, of Queens Village, were suspended without pay as the investigation continues into allegations they refused to help the woman because they were on break and wanted to eat breakfast.
Mayor Bloomberg called the EMTs actions ‘unconscionable." When asked if "burnout" might have been a factor, the Mayor said,"Burnout? They were sitting there having coffee. How could they be burnt out? They’re human beings. Somebody is dying down the street and (people) say help them and they just sat there."

The Mayor was right …who the hell cares if they were on their lunch break or any other break .This was a dying woman , a human being and they just sat there on their sorry asses and did nothing . They should be charged with Manslaughter …and I hope their is a petition or something to help get them charged with that . The Both of them are a sorry pair of human trash !!!
WOW, it’s almost hard to say anything being in such shock. But we are living in a world today that has no heart for the human race. People have waxed cold. If they can live with that then shame on them. But we all shall reap what we sow, that will come back around on them, twice as bad. May God have mercy on them. To just suspend them….now that’s another story; they are now known as MURDERERS and should have been fired and taken to court.
My prayers go out to the family of the young lady.
THAT IS SO SAD AND TRUTH BE TOLD THEY WILL PROBABLY BE ABLE TO LIVE WITH THEIR SELF AND THEIR IS A LITTLE BOY WITHOUT HIS MOTHER WHEN IT DID NOT HAVE TO BE HOW WOULD THEY FEEL IF SOMEONE LET THEIR LOVED ONE DIE BECAUSE THEY WERE ON BREAK, SUSPENDED WITHOUT PAY A SLAP ON THE WRIST SAD WORLD GLAD EVREYONE IS NOT LIKE THEM !!!!!!!!!!

I just brought a TV from The best buy, delivery service
including haul away the old TV, that I brought from them 4 years ago.
They wouldn’t haul away my old one, even service order say so,
because “Company policy”, “they wouldn’t touch any thing over 150 bl.”
It is always company policy! I don’t know how the “company policy” let them delivered last TV?
It must have some company policy for fire men not work/save life
on their own wish without despature order.
i work for aubonpain chicago catering and my boss michelle would let you die because company policy somebody should do somthing about her i saw this man almost faint she worked him without a break sad
i work in abp chicago catering and michelle siellar she almost let my coworker die and i dont know how she did it but she broke a deal and got it swept under the rug they made her have a seizure too.
