Glenn Beck Paying a Huge Price for Obama Insult

FILE - In this May 5, 2009 file photo, newscaster Glenn Beck ...

Glenn Beck returns to Fox News Channel on Monday after a vacation with fewer companies willing to advertise on his show than when he left, part of the fallout from calling President Barack Obama a racist.

A total of 33 Fox advertisers, including Wal-Mart Stores Inc., CVS Caremark, Clorox and Sprint, directed that their commercials not air on Beck’s show, according to the companies and ColorofChange.org, a group that promotes political action among blacks and launched a campaign to get advertisers to abandon him. That’s more than a dozen more than were identified a week ago.

While it’s unclear what effect, if any, this will ultimately have on Fox and Beck, it is already making advertisers skittish about hawking their wares within the most opinionated cable TV shows.

The Clorox Co., a former Beck advertiser, now says that “we do not want to be associated with inflammatory speech used by either liberal or conservative talk show hosts.” The maker of bleach and household cleaners said in a statement that it has decided not to advertise on political talk shows.

You think its going to take a few sponsors pulling their ad’s to curb the “anti-obama, scare middle america into thinking he’s all wrong for america” plan?! Guess again.from the moment he mis-handled the “crowly-gates” affiar, they’ve gotten bolder.he showed he’s willing to compramise, and he shouldnt

Fox is still not doing enough because as soon as the news dies down, they’ll put those advertisements back where they were. The advertisers should stop advertising on Fox and any other station that shows blatant disrespect toward anyone with the malice that Beck showed President Obama. It’s bad enough they don’t respect him and really wish he would disappear but to blatantly lie about him is just ridiculous. We all know the true meaning behind their hate and that’s what should be addressed. We are all entitled to our opinions but to put them out there for fearmongering is what needs to be dealt with. It’s just like those fools showing up at his rallies wearing guns. This would never have been tolerated if McCain had been elected…the police would be arresting any and everyone that walked around with a weapon, even if they shouted the NRA’s battlecry, that “we have the right to bear arms”…People we need to band together now more than ever over the injustices that are still happening in our communities, we need to fight for better schools, housing and services along with being visible in those places so we can affect the change we deserve.

I think Glenn got what he should have. If he don’t get the message, he will continue saying untrue thing about.

glenn Beck’s rhetoric is disturbing. He seems to encourage violent reaction to the
federal government-truly dangerous, especially to unstable individuals who might believe everything that he says. He sees himself as a super-patriot whereas he is really udnercuting the democratic process. His hatred for Obama and associates is shocling, and Fox News is responsible for enabling him.

It is great to know that there are many ex-sponsors who have quit the Beck show. They have some sense of decency, taste, decorum, and are able to do the right thing. Good on them!

But, shame, shame, on Glenn Beck. He is a sorry excuse for a human being if there ever was one. I wonder if he ever heard of the 9th commandment: don’t bear false witness against your neighbor.”

Until we as a people realize that there will always be the Rush Limbaughs, Bill O Reilys, and Glen Becks on the Fox channel, we will not be in a position to help our new President. Case in point, I am from South Louisiana, and a very Prominent Ministry, one who publically fell from grace TWICE!!! dedicates it’s entire format to discuss what they say is morallly and religiously incorrect about the President but forgets what the Bible says about what we as Christians should do in regards to those in authority. The best thing we can do is continue to support our President, pray for him and his family, and continue to inform those among us and for us, who may not have the luxaries of the web. Keep the Faith, and the Fight!!!!

What a bunch of naive nannies… You’re too ignorant to see that obama is just walking all over you. You should be ashamed.. or at least embarassed! You will pay for your gullibility soon enough.

    Funnily enough,
Should any of you watched the video of the man with the automatic weapon on his belt; you would have seen (as those of us who DO pay attention) that the man was a BLACK man! Go ahead, look it up! Also, those of you who think the Pres. is the Messiah…his cash for clunkers and other such plans…don’t help YOU…they helped Japan & Korea…making those of you who are unable to pay $4500 for a used car..won’t be able to find one! (Not to mention that you won’t be able to go to a junk yard and find any parts.) Please wake up! It’s not about Beck…It’s about who the Pres. surrounds himself with: Communists, Radicals, Anarchists & ppl who want to destroy your way of life. Will you only be happy when we are ALL unhappy? Don’t you want better for your children? Right now, with the deficit that stands as it is…your children will carry a huge burden of debt. Please don’t let them tell you it’s all Beck…he’s a lightning rod & we’re reacting the way they want us to. God Bless all!

The black man with the automatic weapon on his belt, could have been an Obama plant, or a Secret Service agent because if you take a good look he has a radio on his side along with the weapon. Maybe could be a scanner but more likely a radio!

Seem to be that instead of Genn Beck paying a price, Obama’s Czar is paying a price by losing his job and Obama’s approval rating is at its lowest! Glenn Beck WINS!
